What is CSS?
CSS Exam Preparation starts here! CSS (Central Superior Services) is the civil service of Pakistan that is responsible for running the civilian bureaucratic operations and government secretariats and directorates of the Cabinet of Pakistan.
CSS exam is held in February every year in 19 test centres across Pakistan.
2020 Update:
As of 2020 results, there are 189 quota wise free seats for the candidates of all provinces. Therefore, PM Imran Khan decided to conduct a special CSS exam in November or December 2020.
FPSC is responsible for conducting CSS exam and designing CSS Syllabus.
CSS exam is conducted every year by FPSC (Federal Public Service Commission) and before the exam, FPSC announces the syllabus for CSS.
CSS Exam Total Marks
CSS total marks are 1200 of the Written Part and 300 Marks for Viva and Interview.
There are 6 compulsory subjects of 600 Marks and 600 Marks are set for optional subjects.
Candidates can choose the optional subjects from the given 7 groups according to their own choice.
Passing marks for Compulsory subjects is 40 out of 100 and Passing Marks criteria for optional subjects is 33 out of 100 and 66 out of 200 marks paper.
